Ingredients
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp butter (or other fat)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
Directions
- Dissolve soda in a little cold water.
- Mix ingredients adding soda last.
- Bake in hot oven for 20 minutes.
