Description

Grenadine is a classic syrup used in classic cocktails, like the Jack Rose, Tequila Sunrise, and Shirley Temple.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 420 ml of 100% pomegranate juice (no sugar added)
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • 2 tbsp of Rose’s grenadine (or glucose)

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Cook until it is reduced by 20-25%.
  3. Remove from the heat and cool
  4. Store in an airtight jar.

Notes

  1. You can add 40ml of vodka to help the preservation.
  2. You can boil it until it is reduced to 1/3 and you will have pomegranate molasses, a delicious condiment for your cheese platters, meats (pork and lamb), and salad dressings.
